Johnstown-Monroe triumphed over Northridge with a decisive 51–15 victory in the Friday night matchup between Licking County League rivals.
The game was held on October 3, 2025, at Johnstown-Monroe High School in Johnstown, Ohio. Despite the lopsided final score, Northridge displayed moments of resilience throughout the contest. According to reports, the Vikings managed to keep the game competitive early on when their offense responded to Johnstown’s opening touchdown with a strong scoring drive. Quarterback Eli Rogers connected with wide receiver Mason Hartman for a crucial first-down conversion that set up a goal-line push late in the first quarter. However, Johnstown’s powerful ground game gradually wore down the Northridge defense, leading to several long scoring drives in the second half.
Looking ahead, Northridge will return home to face Zanesville on October 10 at 7 p.m., while Johnstown-Monroe is set to travel to Newark Catholic on October 17 for another conference matchup at 7 p.m.
In their previous encounter, Northridge narrowly defeated Johnstown-Monroe 29–28 in an overtime thriller, marking one of the Vikings’ most memorable victories of the 2024 season. They aim to recapture that form as they prepare to bounce back strongly in front of their home crowd next week.
