Northridge dominated on both ends of the court Tuesday, December 9, 2025, securing a 63-24 victory over Licking Valley at Dick Torbert Gymnasium.
The game was held at Licking Valley High School in Newark, Ohio, as part of the 2025-26 girls basketball schedule. Northridge established an early lead and maintained its momentum throughout the game. The team showcased strong defensive pressure and effective scoring. According to reports, Northridge forced 27 turnovers while controlling the pace on both ends of the court, which led to transition points and consistent offense. Senior Ava Travis scored a team-high 24 points and became the all-time leading scorer in Northridge girls basketball history during this contest. Several other Vikings contributed with key baskets and defensive stops as Northridge extended its lead en route to a dominant win.
Looking ahead, Licking Valley is set to face Mt. Vernon on Friday, December 12, with tipoff scheduled for 6:45 PM at Mt. Vernon High School. Northridge will prepare for its next matchup later in the week as the season progresses.
The last meeting between Northridge and Licking Valley occurred on December 10, 2024, when Licking Valley lost to Northridge with a score of 55-58 earlier in that season’s matchup.
