Utica pulls away from Northridge for 53–44 home conference basketball win

The Utica Redskins emerged victorious over the Northridge Vikings with a score of 53–44 in a girls varsity basketball conference matchup.

The game took place on December 12 at Utica High School. According to reports, Northridge managed to keep pace early, finishing the first quarter tied at 16–16. However, Utica gained separation with a strong performance in the second quarter. Ava Travis led the Vikings with high scoring entering the contest, while Ruby Cermak continued to anchor the rebounding effort. Despite balanced scoring across quarters, Northridge was unable to close the gap late.

Looking ahead, Northridge will return home for a conference matchup against Mt. Vernon on Tuesday, December 16. The last encounter between Northridge and Mt. Vernon occurred on December 17, 2024, when Mt. Vernon secured a 54–25 home victory over the Vikings.
